How it works
The tempo is estimated from the beats in the audio and the key from the notes heard most. We also show the relative key, because a major key and its relative minor share the same notes and are easy to confuse.
Tip
If the BPM comes out at double or half what you expect, tap it by hand with the tap tempo button.

It works very well with music that has a clear beat. With tempo changes or modulations it gives an approximate value.
